About LuxAssurance
Last updated: 3 September 2026
LuxAssurance is an independent insurance information and comparison service for Luxembourg, published in French, English and German. It is written for residents, newcomers, expatriates and cross-border workers who want to understand the Luxembourg market before choosing a policy.
What we do
- Comparisons by type of insurance (car, top-up health, home, life and pension savings, professional liability, expat and cross-border cover), built from the public documentation of insurers active in Luxembourg, including Foyer, LALUX, AXA, Baloise, CMCM and DKV.
- Practical guides on the questions that come up most: tax deductions under articles 111, 111bis and 157ter, CNS reimbursements, the bonus-malus scale, settling in Luxembourg, the situation of cross-border workers.
- A quote request form, forwarded to an insurance broker licensed in Luxembourg.
What we are not
LuxAssurance is not an insurance company and does not sell any policy. We are neither an agency nor the network of an insurer, and we have no connection with agencies or companies bearing a similar name. No insurer takes part in writing our comparisons, in choosing the products compared or in the order in which they appear.
How a quote request works
When you submit the form, your request is forwarded to an insurance broker licensed in Luxembourg and supervised by the Commissariat aux Assurances. That broker, and the broker alone, reviews the market, advises you and sends you a personalised proposal, usually within 24 hours. If you sign up, the policy is concluded with the insurer through the broker. The service is free for you and without obligation.
The data transmitted and how long it is kept are described in our privacy policy.
How we work
Every comparison and every guide shows its update date and, at the end of the article, the primary sources it relies on: texts published on Legilux, the Luxembourg Inland Revenue (ACD), the CNS, the CCSS, the SNCA, the Commissariat aux Assurances and the insurers’ public documentation. Price ranges come from a dated survey (August 2026 for the current version) carried out on the insurers’ public simulators; they are indicative and are not a quote. Our methodology sets out the criteria, the limits and the corrections policy.
